  10. This is a new Working Group Chaired by Daisy Shen.  The first meeting
  11. consisted of discussing the Charter, defining the scope and preparing
  12. for the next meeting.
  13.  
  14. All attendees agreed upon the Charter; although there was no discusson
  15. regarding the schedule and the milestones.  Those items will be
  16. discussed at the next meeting.

  21.   1. It will be built as a client/server model which will be called a
  22.      database requester/server.
  23.  
  24.   2. RPC will be used on top of TCP/IP as the communication vehicle.

  26.   3. We will define the concept of the Unit of Work.

  28.   4. We will do data conversion.

  30.   5. Security:

  33.        o Use Kerberos for authentication
  34.        o Let each database system handle its own security.

  37.   6. If the server has more than one database, we require that the
  38.      databases be homogeneous.
